The data controller is a small, lightweight device worn by the patient throughout the procedure. Sensors are connected from the data controller to the abdomen of the patient's body in order for successful transmission of the data from the capsule. The data controller will store data on a memory card prior to the cellular transmission of the data to an internet based source.

The data controller and sensors are returned to the physician's office after the procedure is complete.
